On October 30, 2024, Earthqualizer Foundation, in collaboration with Unilever, hosted a GreenToken Training Workshop in Medan, North Sumatra, for 15 of Unilever's palm oil supplier mills.
EQ is currently working with Unilever to assist with data traceability at their supplier factories. Following the MoU signed with the factories, EQ will also provide support for training, familiarization, and the use of digital tools for reporting.
This workshop aimed to introduce GreenToken technology to the supplier mills and facilitate its integration, fostering transformative improvements across the palm oil supply chain.
GreenToken is a web-based application that enables transparent supply chain traceability, reaching from the plantation to the dealer. Utilizing blockchain technology and tokenization, the system ensures that palm oil and its derivative products are sourced sustainably.
The training provided supplier mills with essential skills for using GreenToken to monitor the fresh fruit bunch (FFB) supply chain. Participants also learned to input Traceability to Plantation (TTP) data from each mill into the GreenToken system. This initiative is expected to strengthen the mills' capacity for accurate and transparent reporting, advancing sustainability and accountability within the palm oil industry.
