On June 27, 2024, the Earthqualizer Foundation was honored to participate as a key resource at the Consultation and Public Review of the Regional Action Plan for Sustainable Palm Oil (RAD KSB) at Panutra Hotel in Sambas.
As an active stakeholder in the development of the RAD KSB for Sambas District for the 2024-2026 period, Earthqualizer, represented by Swisto Uwin, contributed valuable insights into the global challenges and opportunities within the palm oil sector, emphasizing the crucial need for sustainable palm oil practices.
As an organization that leverages spatial intelligence, Earthqualizer also shared spatial data related to land ownership and the locations of oil palm plantations, highlighting the importance of involving and supporting smallholders in the RAD KSB program to navigate various market challenges. Swisto Uwin underscored the need for a robust, inclusive RAD KSB, emphasizing principles of integration, synchronization, and stakeholder participation.
In addition, he outlined essential elements for establishing a multi-stakeholder working group, detailed the data requirements for the RAD KSB’s preparation, and provided an overview of the timeline for finalizing the action plan.
Earthqualizer Foundation hopes that the RAD KSB’s development process will proceed smoothly, facilitating effective implementation that delivers positive economic, environmental, and socio-cultural outcomes for the region. Earthqualizer remains committed to supporting the Sambas District government through continuous guidance and assistance in both the preparation and implementation of the RAD KSB, aiming to foster sustainable growth within the region’s palm oil industry.
